Hi everyone! I'm hoping to start learning electric guitar or electric bass soon. Does anyone have any tips on anything related? Also what kind of guitar/bass should I get once I save up?

For starters I’d get on YouTube and look for some first lessons. Start learning chords, E minor, G, C. You can play a lot of those songs with just a couple chords.
